Autor de mais de 15 livros, músico, jornalista, professor, doutor em sociologia e presidente da Academia Amapaense de Letras, Fernando dedicou sua vida à valorização e à difusão da cultura amazônica, deixando uma marca que ecoará por gerações.
Sua memória será eternamente lembrada e celebrada por todos os amapaenses e nortistas. O legado de Fernando Canto será uma fonte permanente de inspiração para aqueles que acreditam na força e na beleza da cultura regional.
